Champaign

A 49-year old male was arrested on the charge of attempted burglary at Bromley Hall, 910 S. Third St., around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the offender attempted to cut a cable off of a bicycle at the bike rack outside of the residence hall. The offender was also arrested on the charges of resisting arrest and possession of stolen property.

A 49-year-old male was arrested for resisting a police officer and obstructing justice near the corner of Sixth and Green streets at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the report, the offender was originally stopped for walking in the roadway and was charged when he ran from the police after giving a false.

University

An 18-year-old male was arrested on the charges of deceptive practice and burglary to a motor vehicle near Goodwin Avenue and Illinois Street around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, the offender was first asked to pull off the road due to disobeying a stop sign.

A 21-year-old male was issued a state of Illinois notice to appear in court for the possession of a controlled substance at Memorial Stadium, 1402 S. First St., around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to the report, the offender’s wallet was found and given to a police officer by a bystander during an Illinois football game. While trying to identify the owner of the wallet, police officers found half an alprazolam pill and a small bag of cocaine in the wallet.

Urbana

A theft was reported in the 800 block of South McCullough Street around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, the unknown offender stole the victim’s unlocked bicycle from the front porch of their residence.

A 23-year-old male was arrested on the charge of aggravated battery at Presence Hospital, 1400 W. Park St., around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the report, the offender had originally been admitted to the hospital for intoxication. She became hostile and spat on a nurse. The offender was then arrested and left in the Charlotte County Sheriff Office’s care.
