Champaign

Two arrests were made on the charge of unlawful possession and use of weapon by a felon on Fourth Street and Bradley Avenue around 1 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, the vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation and the driver was found to have a warrant. The vehicle contained a firearm, and the two passengers were arrested.

Theft was reported on the 00 block of East University Avenue around 6 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the victim said while he was on a mass transit bus, he fell asleep and woke up to his bag missing.

An arrest was made on the charge of theft on the 400 block of North Garfield Avenue around 9 a.m. Monday. According to the report, several items of jewelry were stolen from the victim’s bedroom after her granddaughter allowed friends to stay at the residence. The suspect was located and arrested. The items were recovered from two pawn shops.

University

Theft was reported at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., around 4:30 p.m. Monday. According to the report, a student attempted to leave the store without paying for a lab coat with a retail value of $55.99.

Urbana

Theft was reported on the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue around 2 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender and the victim met on an online application and agreed to exchange currency. The victim sent the offender money but never received the currency in exchange.

Theft was reported at Walmart, 100 S. High Cross Rd., around noon Monday. According to the report, the offender entered the business and took items without rendering payment.
