After narrowing his final two schools to Illinois and Oregon, small forward Abu Kigab has committed to play for Dana Altman’s Ducks.

Kigab, a 6-foot-6 power forward from St. Catherines, Canada, would have been the third four-star recruit in Illinois head coach John Groce’s 2017 recruiting class.

Two spots remain open for the 2017 class. Five-star small forward Kris Wilkes has yet to make his decision from a list that includes Illinois, Indiana and UCLA. Wilkes would join center Jeremiah Tilmon as the other five-star recruit in the 2017 class.

Mayan Kiir is a three-star recruit who has also taken an official visit to Illinois. The 6-foot-9 forward would be the second big to sign on to the class of 2017.
