“Yellow Eyes” – Yebba
Yebba’s newest single, “Yellow Eyes,” is a complex track with breathy, layered vocals over plucked guitars. The song follows a recent announcement for her upcoming album, “Jean,” scheduled for release March 6. The album marks Yebba’s return to a full-length studio project, after releasing her debut album, “Dawn,” back in 2021.
“Cloud 9” – Megan Moroney
Megan Moroney is back with the glittery pink dream that is “Cloud 9,” her newest country-pop album. Sway-inducing tracks blend with upbeat country-girl songs that Moroney is known for, rightfully portraying the most confident version of herself. The project also includes collaborations with artists like Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves.
“Drag Path” – Twenty One Pilots
Twenty One Pilots returns with “Drag Path,” its newest single released on Tuesday. Its emotional sound is shaped by resilient drums and honest vocals that crescendo as the song opens up. The band’s lyrics allude to the idea of leaving behind signs during hard times, hoping someone will notice and offer help.
“Tea Time” – Yung Miami
After teasing the viral TikTok line in January, “you know it’s tea when you see them two fingers touching,” Yung Miami dropped “Tea Time.” It marks the second single off her upcoming debut album. The rap track explodes with fierce, unapologetic confidence, riding a hard-hitting beat while firing off razor-sharp one-liners that assert the rapstress’s dominance.
“$ex Appeal (feat. Too $hort)” – Baby Keem, Too $hort
Nightlife, wild energy and adrenaline-fueled highs pulse through this alluring party anthem from Baby Keem’s second studio album, “Ca$ino.” The track is built for flashing lights, packed crowds and nonstop endorphin rushes. With production from Danja, a producer from the 2000s, the track sounds like a blast from the past. Too $hort’s feature adds both raunchiness and suave charm, flowing through the rhythm with ease.
“Holiday Party” – Hilary Duff
A synth-pop track off Duff’s sixth studio album, “Luck… or Something,” details a spiral of imagined betrayal, as jealousy and intrusive thoughts blur the line between reality and fantasy. Drums, saxophone and keyboards aid in harmonizing Duff’s vocals with the groovy beat. The track casts Duff in a fresh light, especially after her decade-long break from music.
“Dulces SueñoZzz (+INTERLUDIO)” – Omar Courtz, Rubí
“Dulces SueñoZzz (+INTERLUDIO),” translated to “Sweet Dreams (+INTERLUDE),” is a sweet, romantic track off Courtz’s second studio album, “POR SI MAÑANA NO ESTOY,” which translates to “IF TOMORROW I’M NOT HERE.” Over a hazy blend of trap and sultry reggaeton rhythms, Courtz and Rubí’s vocals weave seamlessly together, creating an intimate, dreamlike atmosphere. In his verses, Courtz nods to Latin pop culture moments, such as the breakup of Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía, indicating his desire to avoid a dramatic public breakup and keep his relationship private. Rubí complements that sentiment with soft harmonies about intimacy kept behind closed doors, deepening the track’s sense of secrecy and devotion.
“START OVER” – Tiffany Day
“START OVER,” the fifth single off of Day’s upcoming sophomore album, “HALO,” is a high-energy track packed with heavy electronic production and head-banging EDM beats. Perfectly fitting within the hyperpop genre, it is noisy, fierce and loud. The lyrics capture the desire to begin again while battling self-doubt and intrusive thoughts.
