Stopping the shopping itch

Find yourself reaching for your wallet more often than you should? Follow my lead and you’ll reduce your number of shopping trips in no time.

  • When you’re emotionally unstable and find yourself at the mall, be sure to remove any plastic from your wallet before leaving your apartment. I’ve taken it upon myself to have a “Happy wallet” and an “I’m so sad I need to shop wallet.” The latter has no money inside.
  • Force your parents to take your car back home. Trust me. Even when the shopping bug bites me, the thought of taking a bus to get there somehow ruins the entire experience.
  • Spend a day going through all your current clothing. You’ll feel sick enough with the tremendous amount you have now, you won’t want any more.
  • Whenever you hang out with girlfriends, typically those that wear your size, compliment their outfits. Make sure to mention how good her sparkly tunic would look with those hot pants you own. Soon enough, she’ll let you borrow whatever you want.
