1 small tub of brown/milk chocolate frosting (16 oz.)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Cut or break off cookie dough and place on ungreased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart from each other.
3. Bake cookies at 325 degrees F for 14 to 18 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly and loosen with a spatula.
4. For each cookie, cut off two of the sides with a sharp knife so it resembles a football.
5. With a knife or a spatula, spread a thin layer of brown frosting over the top of each cookie. Spoon white frosting into a plastic resealable bag and snip off a small corner. Carefully squeeze the bag and pipe the laces of the football onto the cookie.
7. Place each cookie on a dish without overlapping them, and then refrigerate until ready to eat.
Guacamole Field Dip
You don’t have to score a touchdown to win over your guests’ taste buds with this dip. While real guacamole is simple to make, it still requires an unnecessarily long time spent at Meijer to find the ingredients. Google away for the homemade guacamole recipe if you have the time, but this simple recipe allows you to create a quick and fun dip that you can finish in mere minutes. Who knew cheating without penalties could taste so good? (Pictured bottom left)
Ingredients:
24 oz. pre-made guacamole (found at a grocery store)
1/2 cup sour cream
Directions:
1. Pour contents of the pre-made guacamole into a small baking dish (about 8×11 inches)
2. Spoon sour cream into resealable plastic bag. Snip off a small corner and pipe sour cream lines over the guacamole to resemble yard markers on a football field.
3. Refrigerate before game-time and serve with your favorite kind of chips.
Team Spirit Popcorn Mix
You can be a Cardinals fan, a Steelers fan or just a fan of tasty treats to enjoy this themed snack. Not only will this snack please you and your guests, but it will also appeal to your wallet because the ingredients are most likely already sitting around in your cabinet, or a local freshman’s pantry (parents tend to stock their new college-bound children with popcorn and pretzels).
Ingredients:
1 bag microwaveable popcorn
2 1/2 cup pretzels
1 large bag peanut M&M;’s
1 cup peanuts
Directions:
1. Microwave bag of popcorn as directed, and pour into a large bowl.
2. Mix pretzels and peanuts into the popcorn.
3. Pick out the M&M; colors that represent your team and mix it into the popcorn.
4. Serve and enjoy.
