The Main Quad is just one of three on campus. The grassy space is perfect for going with friends to play frisbee or dog watch.

When May comes around, students seem to flock away from campus. But what about those that decide to stay in Champaign-Urbana? We asked a few how they spend their time.

Autumn Langdon

“I just work two jobs so I don’t really do a lot.”

“I like to go to the pool.”

Michael Weingarten

“Honestly, right now I’m spending most of my time doing research so a majority of my time is just spent in the lab.”

“I’m studying the effects of alcohol and marijuana and their combined effects on the brain.”

Jiayi Chen

“Over the weekend I always go hiking with my friends.”

Kristin Miller and Anu Benkatesh

“Right now it’s physics. Physics is our life right now.”

“There’s some cool things in Champaign… ice cream!” -Benkatesh

“We’re going to Jarlings here later in the week probably.”
