Champaign

  • A 23-year-old man was arrested at the 800 block of North Mattis Avenue, Sunday night. According to the police report, the man was issues a notice to appear in court for a noise violation.
  • A 21-year-old woman reported motor vehicle theft at the 400 block of West Washington, Monday morning. According to the police report, the victim’s vehicle was stolen from an apartment parking lot and there are no known suspects.
  • A 50-year-old man was arrested at the 00 block of East Springfield Avenue, Monday morning. According to the police report, the offender was living on Canadian National Railroad Property and was in possession of open alcohol. He was issued a citation for trespassing and for possession of alcohol on public property.
  • Residential burglary was reported at the 900 block of South First Street, Monday afternoon.

    According to the police report, the victim’s apartment was entered and an Apple laptop was stolen, there are no suspects at this time.

Urbana

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested at the 1300 block of Silver, Monday afternoon. According to the police report, the offender struck the victim in the mouth, causing the victim to need transport to Provena. The offender was later located and arrested on charges of battery and obstructing justice.
  • A 42-year-old woman was arrested at the 300 block of West Griggs, Sunday night. According to the police report, The offender had a warrant for her arrest and lied to officers about her name to avoid being arrested on that warrant.
  • A 24-year-old man was arrested at the 900 block of North Broadway, Sunday night.

    According to the police report, the offender was charged with loud and raucous noise prohibition.

  • An 18-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were arrested at the 400 block of South First Street, Monday night.

    According to the police report, one offender was arrested on an in-state warrant while the other was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license.

  • A 43-year-old man was arrest at Willard Airport, 11 Airport Rd., early Sunday morning. According to the police report the man was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis, 30 grams and under.
  • Property damage was reported outside the Native American Studies building, 1206 W. Nevada Ave., between midnight and 8 a.m., Monday. According to the police report, an unknown offender torn down a banner and bent the corner of a sign that was valued at $170.
