Champaign

  • An 18-year-old man was issued a citation at the 300 block of East Green Street, early Sunday morning. According to the police report, the man was issued a citation for a loud car stereo.
  • Theft was reported at the intersection of Sixth Street and Springfield Avenue, Friday night. According to the police report, the victim put her bike in the rack, but when she returned two minutes later, it was gone.
  • A 20-year-old man was arrested at the 1000 block of West Bloomington Road, early Saturday morning. According to the police, the man was asked to leave a hotel room due to smoking cannabis in the room, he was issued a notice to appear in court.
  • A 30-year-old man was arrested at the 1900 block of South Mattis Avenue, early Saturday morning.According to the police report, the suspect provided false information during a crime investigation and was found to have three valid warrants out for his arrest in Champaign

  • A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the 900 block of West Bradley, Saturday night.According to the police report, the woman’s vehicle was stopped for loud music. She then lied about her identity to conceal the fact that she had no driver’s license and an arrest warrant. The woman was arrested on charges of vehicular noise, obstructing justice, no drivers license and an in-state warrant.

Urbana

  • A 26-year-old man was arrested at the 2400 block of North Cunningham Road, early Sunday morning. According to the police report, the man battered a male victim and threatened to kill him with a weapon he displayed. He was arrested for aggravated battery.
  • A 32-year-old man was arrested at the 500 block of East Michigan Avenue, early Sunday morning. According to the police report, the offender broke the victim’s door and a vase and was arrested for property damage.
  • Criminal damge to property was reported at the 900 block of East Harding Drive, Saturday afteroon. According to the police report, an unknown offender knocked over the victim’s vehicle causing damage.
  • Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported at the 1900 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Saturday afternoon. According to the police report, n unkonwn offender broke the window on the victim’s vehicle and stole an 80 GB iPod

University

  • An 18-year-old man was arrested at the intersection of Second and Daniel Streets, Thursday night. According to the police report, the man was arrested on charges of possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis. He was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for failing to signal when the driver changed lanes.
