Champaign

A 25-year-old man was arrested at the 700 block of North Fifth Street, Sunday night on charges of domestic battery. According to the police report, police were on foot in the area investigating an unrelated crime when they saw a male and female engaged in a physical dispute.

A 50-year-old woman was arrested at County Market, 331 Stoughton St., Sunday morning, on charges of retail theft and drug equipment possession. According to the police report, the woman was caught stealing a flashlight pen. When she was searched, she was found to be in possession of a push rod, Brillo pad and crack pipe.

Four men, ranging in ages from 28 to 31, were issued notices to appear at the 1200 block of North Walnut Street, Saturday night. Another 37-year-old man was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance during the same incident. According to the police report, the men were observed drinking from an open alcohol bottle while standing on the sidewalk. Ecstacy was found in the possession of the 37-year-old man.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the 300 block of East Green Street, early Sunday morning on charges of resisting an officer. According to the police report, the man was involved in a domestic dispute and then ran from officers. The man also had a valid in-state warrant for his arrest.

Urbana

Aggravated battery, robbery and mob action were reported at the intersection of Bradley and Goodwin Avenues, Sunday afternoon. According to the police report, three unknown offenders ­— one male and two female — battered a 37-year-old woman in a public place and stole cash and belongings from the victim.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at the 2400 block of Prairie Green Drive, Sunday afternoon on charges of aggravated assault. According to the police report, the man had a knife in his hand and was in close proximity to a 26-year-old woman.

Retail theft was reported at Mobil Super Pantry, 810 W. Green St., early Monday morning. According to the police report, an unknown offender pumped gasoline and left without paying.

Retail theft was reported at County Market, 1819 Philo Rd., Saturday afternoon. According to the police report, a 19-year-old man stole a bottle of Excedrin.

University

A 20-year-old man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol at the 1200 block of W. Green St., early Monday morning. According to the police report, the man disregarded two red lights and also had no valid drivers license.
