The Technology Entrepreneur Center’s application for the Lemelson-Illinois Student Prize is due Nov. 20.
The prize is awarded on an annual basis to any full-time University of Illinois student who “has created or improved a product or process, applied a technology in a new way, redesigned a system, or demonstrated remarkable inventiveness in other ways,” according to 30kprize.illinois.edu, the website where students can apply.
The most qualified applicant, chosen by a panel of alumni an faculty members, will receive an unrestricted $30,000 gift.
The awards and reception will take place March 3, 2010. Information sessions will also take place Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 27 and 28.
