Champaign police, JSM warn residents

A home invasion involving assault and robbery on Wednesday has been confirmed.

According to a press release from the Champaign Chief of Police, the invasion occured Dec. 9 at approximately 4:45 a.m. on the 500 block of East Healey in Champaign.

The press release stated the suspects were armed as they enter the apartment and one of the residents was struck in the nose.

The suspects fled from the scene after taking various electronics stated the release. The release described the suspects as two black males in ski masks; one was tall in a green sweatshirt, and the other was short in a gray sweatshit.

According to JSM Management, the residents were being followed before the invasion and robbery.
