Champaign

  • A 22-year-old male from Bloomington, Ill., was arrested for obstructing justice, resisting and obstructing an officer and trespassing on Thursday. According to the report, the subject was involved in a physical altercation and then provided false information after resisting arrest.
  • A 20-year-old male was arrested for obstructing justice and a current in-state warrant on Oct. 1. According to the report, the suspect was witnessed jumping over a fence and lied about his identity upon contact with the police.
  • A 21-year-old male was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting and obstructing an officer at the 800 block of South Sixth Street on Saturday. According to the report, the suspect’s behavior alarmed and disturbed the victims.
  • A 25-year-old female from Rantoul, Ill., was arrested for resisting and obstructing an officer, obstructing justice, possession of drug equipment, driving with a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at the 600 block of South Wright Street on Saturday. According to the report, the suspect attempted to flee from a traffic safety checkpoint.

Urbana

  • A bicycle was reported stolen at the 800 block of West Green Street on Thursday. According to the report, an unknown offender cut the victim’s lock to steal the bike.

University

  • A 22-year-old male from Morris, Ill., was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, having a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit and disobeying a traffic control device at the intersection of Green and Wright streets on Friday morning. According to the report, he was pulled over for driving in an area designated only for authorized bus traffic, just south of Green Street on Wright Street.
  • Criminal damage to property was reported at the Chi Omega sorority at the 900 block of South Wright Street on Thursday. According to the report, two suspects broke two windows of the sorority house.
  • An MP3 player was stolen from a lounge in the Pennsylvania Avenue Residence Halls at 906 W. College Court, Urbana, on Thursday. According to the report, the player was valued at $500.
