A man and a bus were involved in an accident early Sunday morning. The accident occurred near the intersection of Sixth and Green streets at approximately 2:05 a.m.

Tom Costello, assisting managing director of the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District and a member of the Illini Media Company Board of Directors, said the man walked off the curb in front of the bus. The man then was taken to a nearby hospital, was treated and released within an hour.
