Campus is filled with construction this fall. The U of I’s strategic plan calls for the renovation of existing buildings, along with the building of new facilities. Director of Campus Planning Helen Coleman says construction is well on its way.

“UIUC has about 450 million dollars going on right now in construction or in planning. We have a lot of work going on campus. “

Campus projects include a Business Instructional Facility, an indoor golf center and the Lincoln Hall renovation that was recently state approved.

“Dollars have been released for the project, it’s a state funded construction project, The government has released 5 million dollars to plan the project”

Many more improvements are in planning, and additions are added yearly.
