Champaign

  • A 26-year-old man was arrested for obstructing justice at the intersection of Eureka Street and Bradley Avenue early Friday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was stopped for loud music. The offender was also found to be in possession of cannabis and driving without a license.

  • A 21-year-old woman was arrested for driving on a revoked license at the 1400 block of Prospect Avenue early Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was found to be in possession of crack cocaine after a search incident to her arrest. The offender’s passenger, a 20-year-old woman, was also arrested or lying about her identity because she had an active warrant for her arrest.

  • A 23-year-old man was issued a notice to appear in court for resisting an officer at the 1100 block of Walnut Street.

    According to a police report, officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the area. The offender walked away from officers while being questioned.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 39-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance at the 600 block of First Street, Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender was stopped for having expired registration on her vehicle. The offender was found to have no insurance. She was also found to be in possession of cannabis and drug equipment after a search incident to her arrest.

  • A 28-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Bradley and Prospect avenues Saturday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender had been driving under the influence of alcohol, was found to be driving on a revoked license and was allegedly intending to deliver cannabis to persons under the age of 18.

  • Colonial Pantry, 813 N. Mattis Ave., reported retail theft Oct. 6.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender pumped gas into her vehicle and drove off without paying.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 21-year-old woman was arrested for resisting an officer at the 300 block of Green Street early Sunday morning.

    According to a police report, the offender and a 21-year-old man were stopped while carrying a construction barricade. The offender fled and the 21-year-old man was issued a notice to appear in court.

  • A 58-year-old man reported residential burglary at the 400 block of Beardsley Avenue, Friday morning.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender kicked open the back door of the residence and removed a glass vase with plastic flowers, a nightstand, a coffee table, an end table, a couch, a rug, a full-sized bed, a wooden chest, a microwave, a toilet paper holder and a wooden table with four chairs from the premises.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Urbana

  • A 41-year-old man reported theft at the 200 block of Delaware Avenue, Monday afternoon.

    According to a police report, an unknown offender took the victim’s garbage can from the front yard of the property.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 43-year-old homeless man was arrested for trespassing at Schnucks, 200 N. Vine St., Monday night.

    According to a police report, the offender was previously banned from the property where he was found. During a search incident to his arrest, the offender was found to have a green leafy substance on his person.

  • Circle K, 809 W. Green St., reported retail theft Monday night.

    According to a police report, two unknown offenders took an unknown amount of beer from the business.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

University

  • A rare human skull was reported stolen from Davenport Hall, 607 S. Mathews Ave., sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 18.

    According to a police report, the skull was valued at $1,000.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

  • A 41-year-old man was arrested for driving without a license at the 700 block of South Wright Street, Monday evening.

    According to a police report, the offender had been driving through the “buses-only” plaza. The offender was also cited for operating an uninsured vehicle.

  • Criminal damage to a vehicle was reported at a parking lot, 1100 W. Florida Ave., Saturday afternoon.

    According to a police report, the front passenger window was broken and a tape deck adaptor, a phone charger and cash were taken from the vehicle. The loss incurred was estimated at $590.

    No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
