These vampires aren’t the ones you see on Halloween…

The ones we’re talking about stay all year long…and they’re running up your bills.

Vampire electronics are appliances such as microwaves, TVs and computers that suck out electricity even when they’re not being used.

Vampire power can cost you up to ten-percent of your electricity bill… and it’s costing the U-S about four-billion dollars a year.

Certain electronics may suck more power than others, simply because you forget about them. Excelon technician, Dave Nussman says that electronics chargers cause a lot of problems.

So how else can you fight off these thirsty vampires? Turn off your appliances completely when you’re not using them. If the appliance still has a light on, then the vampire is still taking a bite out of your electricity supply.
