By Hannah Hess

The six-foot tall, 300 pound man suspected of robbing Bank Champaign, Tuesday afternoon has yet to be apprehended by Champaign Police.

The white man entered the bank, located at 5 Convenience Center Drive, near Marketplace Mall in Champaign, around 1:30 p.m. He was wearing a long blond wig and sported a large, possibly fake, tattoo on his left arm.

The suspect implied to the teller that he had a weapon then filled the black bag he carried with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the bank.

He was last spotted driving west, away from the scene, in a small white SUV.

Police are still tracking the robber and ask anyone with information to call the Champaign police Investigation Division at 351-4545.
