Veterans Day is being observed through local ceremonies and business closures.

The ROTC is hosting two events:

4:30 p.m. Mark Johnson, University wrestling coach, is going to be a guest speaker at an outdoor ceremony at Foellinger Auditorium, 709 S. Matthews Ave., Urbana. A short reception will follow.

7:45 p.m. Members of the Air Force ROTC, Army ROTC and Navy ROTC are having a flag raising ceremony at the flag pole of the Armory, 505 E. Armory Ave., Champaign.

In the event of rain, both ceremonies will be moved inside the Armory.

Closed to observe Veterans Day:

Champaign Public Library, 200 W. Green St.

Champaign County Clerk’s Office, 1776 E. Washington St., Urbana

All banks

All federal and state offices, including all branches of the post office
