Holiday bazaar open in Illini Union

Over fifty venders set up booths in the Illini Union for the 2-day Illini Union Board Holiday Bazaar. The craft and merchandise sale opened Wednesday at 10 a.m. and operates until 5 p.m. today.

“Most of the vendors are local,” said Dustin Lewis, a program advisor at the Illini Union who works specifically with the Illini Union Board. Lewis said a few vendors were based out of the greater Chicago area.

The bazaar, which occurs annually in early December, is sponsored by the Illini Union Board.

“This year we have made one change-we’ve been offering free hot chocolate to students at the bazaar,” said Lewis.
