Champaign

  • A 22-year-old woman reported residential burglary at the 300 block of East Chalmers on Dec. 28.

    According to the police report, the woman’s apartment was burglarized by an unknown suspect. Items stolen included liquor, a Nintendo 64 game system and several other game systems and accessories.

  • A 38-year-old woman was arrested at the 200 block of West Green Street on Monday night.

    According to the police report, the victim claimed he was battered by the offender, who was later arrested.

  • A 18-year-old man was arrested at the 400 block of Ells Avenue on Monday afternoon.

    According to the police report, the offender was arrested for attempting to enter several parked cars.

  • Two 22-year-old men reported residential burglary at the 700 block of West Oregon Street on Tuesday evening.

    According to the police report, an unknown offender forced entry into their residence and stole an Xbox game system and several games.

  • A 41-year-old woman reported theft at the 600 block of West Park Street on Tuesday night.

    According to the police report, the woman’s purse was stolen. She lost debit cards, driver’s license, social security card and other items.

  • A 57-year-old man reported residential burglary at the 1100 block of Rainbow View Drive on Tuesday night.

    According to the police report an unknown offender entered the victim’s residence and stole a 52-inch television.

  • A 49-year-old man and a 51-year-old man were arrested near the intersection of University Avenue and Cunningham Road on Tuesday night.

    According to the police report, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for having a revoked driver’s license. After a search of the vehicle, drug equipment was located, which the passenger claimed ownership for and was arrested.

University

  • A 26-year-old man was arrested near the intersection of Green and Neil streets, early Wednesday morning.

    According to the police report, the man stopped after he repeatedly honked his horn at pedestrians. He was arrested on charges of driving on a revoked or suspended license and cited for operating a motor vehicle on a foreign license and using his horn improperly.

  • Theft was reported at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 East Peabody Drive, Sunday afternoon.

    According to the police report, a wallet worth $30, an i-card, driver’s license and $20 in cash were stolen from an unattended bag.
