Champaign

  • A 51-year-old man was arrested at the 600 block of East Green Street, Saturday afternoon.

    According to the police report, the offender stole the intoxicated victim’s wallet containing identification cards, cash and credit cards, and attempted to run away. The theft was witnessed by an employee who positively identified the offender.

  • A 19-year-old man was arrested at the intersection of Bradley and Prospect avenues, Saturday night.

    According to the police report, the man was issued a citation for a loud car stereo.

  • A 21-year-old man was arrested at the 700 block of South Sixth Street, early Sunday morning.

    According to the police report, the offender fondled two females while inside Clyboune’s Bar and was later located and arrested.

Urbana

  • A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman were arrested at the intersection of Lincoln and Bradley avenues, Sunday morning.

    According to the police report, one offender was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to have an in-state warrant in her name and was cited for possession of cannabis and illegal transportation of alcohol. The other woman was seen trying to hide a cannabis pipe and was cited for that.

  • A 22-year-old man was arrested at the intersection of University and Broadway avenues, early Sunday morning.

    According to the police report, the offender drove his vehicle off the roadway. He was later arrested for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of liquor, driving under the influence of alcohol, and having a breath alcohol over the legal limit.

University

  • Theft was reported at the Activities and Recreation Center, 201 E. Peabody Dr., between 6:34 and 7:10 p.m., Wednesday night.

    According to the police report, an iPod Nano, cell phone, iCard, driver’s license, debit card and keys were stolen from an ulocked locker in the women’s locker room. The damages were estimated at around $300.

  • A 25-year-old man was arrested at the 600 block of East Green Street, early Thursday morning.—linebreak—According to the police report, the man was issues a city notice to appear in court for public urination.
  • Theft was reported at the Grainger Engineering Library and Information Center, 1301 W. Springfield Ave., between 4 and 8 p.m., Wednesday.

    According to the police report, an unknown offender stole an unattended purse containing n iCard, driver’s license, keys, $50 cash and a cell phone worth $200.

  • A 30-year-old man was arrested near the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Wright Street, Wednesday night.

    According to the police report, the man was arrested on charges of robbery.
