Chancellor Richard Herman to testify before ‘clout’ commission

Chancellor Richard Herman is set to testify in front state commission on Monday to explain his role in ‘clout’ admissions. The group is investigating the University’s use of the Category I system.

Paul Pless, assistant dean of admissions for the University’s School of Law, will also testify in front of the committee.

The meeting will take place at the James R. Thompson Center in Chicago.

The panel, appointed by Governor Pat Quinn, is made up of seven members. The group will release their report later this month.

The hearing is set to begin at 1:30. Herman will testify first, followed by Pless.
