The results for the Champaign County primaries are in, not including all of the absentee ballots.
On the Republican side of the governor’s race, candidate Bill Brady is in the lead with 7,021 cast ballots, or 49.11 percent of the votes. Kirk Dillard has 27.01 percent of the votes, or 3,862 cast ballots. Adam Andrzejewski has 9.36 percent of the votes, or 1,338 cast ballots. Andy McKenna has 6.04 percent of the votes, or 863 cast ballots. Dan Proft has 4.05 percent of the votes, or 579 cast ballots. Jim Ryan has 4.05 percent of the votes, of 579 cast ballots. Fifty-four ballots were cast Bob Shillerstrom, who dropped out of the race last Sunday. Shillerstrom’s votes made up 0.38 percent of the votes.
There were 14,296 ballots cast for the Republican ticket.
On the Democratic side of the governor’s race, incumbent Pat Quinn leads the race with 3,968 cast ballots, or 53.38 percent of the votes. Dan Hynes has 46.14 percent of the votes, or 3,430 cast ballots. There were 36 write-in votes, which make up 0.48 percent of the vote.
There were 7.434 ballots cast for the Democratic ticket.
