UIC GEO votes to strike

The UIC Graduate Employees Organizations members are scheduled to hold a rally Monday after the UIC administration refused to provide tuition waivers or talk about tuition differentials.

Within the last two days, 84 percent of the GEO members voted to go on strike against the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.

The final decision to go on strike will be determined Monday, when the university and GEO meet for a contract negotiation session.
