UI Police investigating UGL burglary

University Police are investigating a case of burglary that occurred at the Undergraduate Library, 1402 W. Gregory Dr., on Sept. 29 after an employee discovered several video game cases had been displaced and pried open.

The library worker found 16 video game boxes that had been taken and discarded in another section of the library around 9 a.m., said Lt. Roy Acree of University Police. Some of the boxes still had the games inside of them, while others were found empty. All 16 boxes have been taken into custody to be evaluated for fingerprints, and police are still searching for suspects.

The games were valued at about $800, Acree said.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Crimestoppers at 217-373-8477 or visit http://www.373tips.com/.
