Five finalists have been selected in the “Mario, Make Me A Model” competition.
Juni Park, of Skokie, Ill., Lynn Tatge, of Mount Prospect, Ill., Zachary Ross,, of Chicago, Alexandra Cangelosi, of Orland Park, Ill., and University of Illinois student Mercedes Johnson, of Chicago, were chosen from 38 semifinalists and almost 500
entrants.
The “Mario, Make Me A Model” competition provides the finalists with a
two-month model transformation, including a commercial on CBS2 Chicago

and a major runway show. The winner will also receive a vacation to
Cancun, Mexico, and consideration for a contract with a professional
modeling agency.
The competition has seen nearly 2,000 contestants since its start in
2008 and has launched the careers of over 1,000 professional models.
“These five finalists have tremendous potential to become professional models, and we can’t wait to start the transformation. This is where the fun — and hard work — really begin,” Mario Tricoci said in a press release. “I think you’ll be amazed by the difference when the finalists take to the runway in October at Fashion Focus Chicago.”
