Center for Children’s Books hosts annual sale

The Center for Children’s Books, or CCB, at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, or GSLIS, will be holding its 11th annual Children’s Book Sale Monday, Feb. 20 through Wednesday, Feb. 22.

The sale is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day at the GSLIS room 24, located at 501 E. Daniel St. in Champaign.

Children’s books — aimed at those in infancy through high school — will be available in paperback for $1 to $2 and hardcover for $5. The sale aims to cover a wide range of children’s publishing, from picture books and activity books to full-length novels and fiction and nonfiction series.

The CCB encourages all attendees to bring their children. Cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and purchase orders will all be accepted.

Proceeds benefit the CCB and The Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books, which is a monthly journal that reviews trade books for teachers and parents. For more information, the CCB can be reached at (217) 244-9331.
