Football official pleads not guilty to felony charges

The Illinois football official accused of allegedly pulling a gun at another driver pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday, according to the Champaign County Circuit Clerk.

Matthew Sinclair, the assistant director of player personnel, allegedly pulled a gun on another driver on his way back from a game against Purdue on Nov. 23. Sinclair has been placed on administrative leave.

Sinclair waived his preliminary hearing and has requested a trial by jury. His next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 21.
