Police blotter Feb. 21, 2014

Champaign

—Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported on the 400 block of East Healey Street at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, the victim’s car was burglarized while parked in an underground garage.

—Criminal damage to property was reported on the 00 block of East Daniel Street at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender broke the passenger side taillight cover the victim’s vehicle.

—Criminal damage to property was reported on the 900 block of South Third Street at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender damaged a victim’s van while it was parked in a dormitory parking lot.              

University

—A 58-year-old woman was arrested on the charge of violating an order of protection at her Philo residence at 9 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the order of protection was filed in May 2013 by the woman’s ex-husband who is a University employee.

—A 22-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant near the Illini Union, 1401 W. Green St. at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, police were responding to a reported argument. When officers arrived they found the man had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.

Urbana

Theft was reported at Alpha Delta Pi house in the 1200 block of West Nevada Street at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, the offender had been stealing from numerous victims at the residence for several months.

Domestic dispute and assault were reported in the 1600 block of East Florida Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the victim and offender live together and the victim reported that the offender had threatened to batter her. The victim did not want to take legal action or for the police to contact the offender.

Domestic dispute was reported on the 1100 block of North Goodwin Avenue at about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the victim and offender are dating and have children together and were engaged in a verbal altercation.
