Champaign

• Criminal damage to property was reported in the 3300 block of West Daniel Street around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, the victim reported that three of the tires on his vehicle were slashed. 

• An 18-year-old male was arrested on the charges of theft and obstructing identification at Walmart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 8 p.m. Monday.

According to the report, the offender stole two DVDs from the store. During questioning about the incident the offender provided a false name.

• A 51-year-old man was arrested on the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol near Wright and Healey Streets around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to the report, the offender’s vehicle was initially stopped because the offender was driving the wrong way on a one-way street. 

• An 18-year-old female was arrested on the charges of driving under the influence of cannabis and possession of cannabis around 7 a.m. Wednesday. 

According to the report, the offender’s vehicle was initially stopped because the offender was speeding. She admitted to smoking cannabis prior to driving and police found cannabis in the vehicle. 

Urbana

• A 21-year-old female was arrested on the charge of theft at Family Dollar, 1110 S. Philo Rd., around 11 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, the offender entered the store, selected items and passed the last point of purchase without paying for the items. The person who reported the crime was able to get the offender back to the store, where police took the offender into custody.

• Theft was reported in the 1000 block of South Smith Road around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, the victim left his apartment and placed his jacket on a stair railing in a common area of the apartment complex. The victim’s wallet was in the jacket pocket. An unknown offender removed the money from the victim’s wallet and left the wallet at the victim’s apartment door.
