A cut cable line is causing an outage on campus emergency phones on Wednesday evening, according to a Massmail sent out by the University.

The University of Illinois Police Department said people should call 911 from a cellphone.

Emergency phones should be working by midnight, according to the Massmail. AT&T and Technology Services are currently working on the issue.

The bulk of the large, blue service phones affected are located along the southeastern part of campus, but others could be facing issues as well.
