Accident involving cyclist and MTD bus occurs near UI bookstore

On Monday around 9:30 a.m., a cyclist sustained a leg injury after an incident reportedly involving an MTD bus at Wright and Chalmers in Champaign, according to METCAD radio chatter.
Both police and fire responded to the scene. An MTD spokesperson commented on the situation, stating “MTD is aware of an incident involving a bicyclist this morning. We are in the process of investigating the situation.”
