Six dead in Nashville grade school shooting

The Covenant School, a private Christian primary school in Nashville, Tennessee experienced a mass shooting on Monday morning. Three children and three adults were killed in the shooting, not including the shooter.

According to the local police, the shooter died after active engagement with the MNPD. The same statement included a nearby meeting place for the students to reunite with their parents and families. 

The victims of the shooting are still unnamed. The three students who were shot were rushed to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and were pronounced dead after arrival. 

The Covenant School includes children from pre-school to sixth grade, and the school’s website says enrollment has been around 200 students in recent years. According to local news, The Covenant School ran an active shooter training program in 2022.
