A public safety alert was issued at 8:53 p.m. on Thursday evening, stating that 911 services are not currently able to receive emergency or nonemergency calls. Text-to-911 is still working, and the status of METCAD will be updated as more information becomes available.
Another public safety alert was released at 9 p.m. stating that 911 services are still not functioning. The announcement asked individuals not to test phones for 911 and to only text or call 911 for an actual emergency.
UPDATE: 9:36 p.m.
911 services for the area have been restored, according to another public safety alert. The announcement asked individuals not to test the system.
