UIPD reports to Talbot Laboratory following safety concern

UIPD responded to Talbot Laboratory on Wednesday after reports of an armed suspect threatening a female.

April 30, 10:20 a.m.

UIPD responded to reports of a man threatening a female at the Illini Union at 9:03 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to a UIPD comment on Reddit. The suspect fled the area after attempting to make contact with her.

UIPD received information shortly after that the suspect was armed and located inside Talbot Laboratory. The suspect was arrested before an Illini-Alert could be issued.

UIPD reported that no firearm was found.
