Champaign

Aggravated discharge of a firearm was reported in the 2600 block of Hunters Pond Run around 3 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the report, two victims were in their apartment when a bullet came through the wall and nearly struck one of them. There is no suspect information. 

University

Nothing to report. 

Urbana

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Kerr Avenue around 11 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the unknown offender took items out of the victim’s unlocked vehicle. The offender then attempted to use the stolen debit and credit cards. 

Burglary from a motor vehicle was reported in the 900 block of Fairview Avenue around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the unknown offender took USC out of the victim’s unlocked vehicle. The offender had the intent to deprive the victim of the USC indefinitely. 

An arrest was made on the charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegally transporting liquor and improper lane usage in the 800 block of South Vine Street around 1 a.m. on Sunday. According to the report, the arrestee was involved in a motor vehicle and was consuming alcohol. She showed significant signs of impairment on the standardized field sobriety test. She was transported to an Urbana hospital for a medical evaluation and was released on Illinois Traffic citation.
