Cristian Antonio Zamora has not been seen since Dec. 31, according to Champaign Police Department Detective Sergeant Dennis Baltzell.

Cristian Zamora’s autopsy results were released Friday, stating his death was accidental, according to a press release from Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup.

Zamora, a 2014 University graduate, was found dead March 6 at 1:55 p.m. submerged under the ice in Crystal Lake Park at 206 W. Park St., Urbana.

According to the release, Zamora’s March 7 autopsy revealed no evidence of trauma or foul play and indicated he died from drowning in cold water.

A toxicology report revealed “marijuana metabolites in his urine.” It also showed traces of ethanol in his blood “consistent with the early stages of decomposition.”

Zamora was last seen on Dec. 31, 2014 from his Urbana residence and was officially reported missing on Jan. 5 by his mother.
