JSM Living announced Wednesday it has secured a long-term lease with Azzip Pizza, which will be located in the former location of Jersey Mike’s Subs at 505 E. Green St., Champaign.

Azzip Pizza is a casual, fast-service restaurant that sells made-to-order personal pizzas. It was founded in Evansville, Indiana, in 2013. The Champaign pizzeria will be the first in Illinois.

“JSM is very excited to be working with Azzip Pizza,” said Jill Guth, director of commercial leasing and marketing for JSM, in a press release. “Azzip Pizza is an exciting addition to Campustown and the fast casual market. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with them.”

Construction is scheduled to begin soon, with plans for the restaurant to open in August.
