CPD investigates shooting

Champaign police are investigating the shooting of two males that occurred on Sunday evening.

According to a release, police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1500 block of Hedge Road on Sunday, Sept. 6 at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, police were informed that two males, a 24-year-old and a 29-year-old, were transported to the hospital and were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation is currently underway, and police are interviewing potential witness and processing evidence collected at the scene.
