Champaign

  • Theft was reported at Walmart, 2610 N. Prospect Ave., around 3 p.m. Friday. According to the report, an unknown offender entered Walmart and used an anti-theft sensor removal tool to defeat sensors and steal items.
  • Domestic battery and damaged property was reported at Image Hair Design, in the 1800 block of Glenn Park Drive, around 1:30 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the offender engaged in a physical altercation with the victim and damaged property inside the business. The offender has not been located.

University

  • A University employee reported his bicycle stolen sometime between 8:20 a.m. and 5:40 a.m. Thursday at the Siebel Center in the 200 block of North Goodwin Avenue. According to the report, the bicycle had an estimated value of $850 and was locked to a rack.
  • A University student was arrested around 11 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Fourth Street and Gregory Drive for not having a valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with expired license plates. According to the report, the vehicle was stopped because a records check indicated expired registration.

Urbana

  • Theft from a motor vehicle was reported Sunday around 3 p.m. in the 500 block of West Washington Street. According to the report, the victim’s license plate sticker was stolen off of his car.
  • An abandoned bicycle was reported Saturday around 10:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Cunningham Avenue. According to the report, an officer found abandoned bicycles on patrol and took them into police storage for safekeeping.
