• An 18-year-old male was arrested on the charge of retail theft at the Illini Union Bookstore, 809 S. Wright St., around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the report, store security personnel called police after seeing the offender tampering with an access code book required to access online portions of textbook assignments. The book has a retail value of $105.50.

• Theft was reported at Oglesby Hall, 1005 College Court, around noon last Friday. 

According to the report, the cellphone has an estimated value of $800 and was left unattended in a lounge. 

Urbana 

• Burglary was reported in the 1000 block of S. Lynn Street around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s unsecured, detached garage and stole a laptop. 

• Burglary was reported in the 800 block of Ohio Street around noon Wednesday.

According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle, rummaged through the victim’s belongings and stole multiple items.
