An identity theft was reported in the 2700 block of Prairie Meadow Drive around 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the report, the unknown offender had stolen the victim’s phone outside of the state of Illinois. The offender then used information from the phone to apply for credit using the victim’s name.
A 20-year-old male was arrested on the charge of aggravated assault in the 300 block of North Neil Street around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the report, police were initially called to the area on suspicion that the offender appeared to be armed with a handgun. The offender was screaming at the victim after a road rage altercation. The offender was subsequently arrested, and no firearm was found. The offender was also arrested under the charges of disorderly conduct and illegal transportation of liquor.
A theft of a digital document camera was reported at the Armory in the 500 block of East Armory Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 17.
According to the report, a University employee reported the theft, but it remains unknown when the camera was stolen. The camera possesses an estimated value of $1,353.
A 21-year-old male was arrested on the charge of domestic battery and aggravated assault in the 1100 block of West Springfield Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the report, the offender had been the aggressor in several domestic disputes that had occurred throughout the months between March and May.
A bicycle theft was reported in the 500 block of West Main Street around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to the report, the unidentified offender purloined the victim’s bicycle and then left a bicycle of lesser value in its place.
A theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of West University Avenue around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to the report, the unidentified offender broke into the victim’s locked vehicle and stole knives and some tools from inside.
