Champaign

  • A case of criminal damage to property was reported in the 500 block of Town Center Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

According to the report, the unidentified offender broke the rear window on the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle.

  • A residential burglary was reported in the 00 block of East John Street around 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

According to the report, the unknown offender broke into the victim’s apartment and stole their pants while they were sleeping. The victim’s wallet and passport were in the stolen pair of pants, and their credit card was used without their permission.

University

  • A 49-year-old male was arrested for resisting a police officer and obstructing justice near the corner of Sixth and Green streets at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the report, the offender was originally stopped for walking in the roadway and was charged when he ran from the police after giving a false name to the officer.

  • A theft was reported in the 200 block of North Gregory Street around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

According to the report, the unidentified offender stole the victim’s bike, which had been locked, and left a different bike in its place.

  • A residential burglary was reported in the 1100 block of Briarcliff Drive around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

According to the report, un unknown offender broke into the victim’s residence through an unsecured window while the victims were not at home. The offender stole several items including a computer and a cellular phone.
