Family releases new photos of missing scholar

Brendt Christensen, a Physics graduate student, was arrested in connection to Zhang’s disappearance. The University postponed the campus wide ceremony honoring Zhang’s life.

More than two weeks after Yingying Zhang’s disappearance, the University of Illinois Police Department released additional photos of the missing scholar, provided by her family.

Zhang, a 26-year-old woman from China, was last seen on June 9 entering a black Saturn Astra on Goodwin Avenue in Urbana.
