Champaign

An arrest was made on the 2900 block of Kirby Ave. around 8 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the 44-year-old male battered the victim and took away her phone while she was on the phone with 911.

An arrest on charges of aggravated battery was reported on the 2000 block of Neil St. around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the 20-year-old male approached the vehicle to address a driving issue and was punched from the vehicle’s window. He punched back numerous times and was taken to the Champaign County’s Sheriff’s Office.

Criminal sexual assault was reported on the 700 block of S. Sixth St. around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, the victim was sexually assaulted by an unknown male.

University

An arrest on a city of Champaign warrant was made near the intersection of Healey and Sixth St. around midnight Sunday. According to the report, the 27-year-old male was stopped by an officer for riding a bicycle in the wrong direction of Healey St.

An arrest was made on charges of aggravated battery around 4 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the 52-year-old male struck an officer and rescue personnel, who responded to a report of a man on the ground on the 0-100 block of East St. Mary’s Road.

Theft was reported near Lincoln Hall, 702 Wright St., around 4 p.m. Thursday. According to the report, the victim lost his wallet near Lincoln Hall and discovered that about $100 in cash and a nearly $400 gift card were missing from the wallet, which was turned into staff at the Illini Union.

Urbana

An arrest was made near the intersection of Lincoln and Killarney Ave. around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the 19-year-old female was driving a vehicle, caused an accident and lied to police about her identity because she didn’t have a valid driver’s license. The arrestee allegedly smelled strongly of illegal drugs and admitted to recent drug use, after which she was arrested and taken to jail.

A domestic dispute was reported on the 1300 block of E. Main St. around 1:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the report, the victim is in the process of getting a divorce and an order of protection against her husband, the offender. The victim alleges she and the offender got into an argument while driving in a vehicle.

Theft was reported at Circle K, 809 W. Green St., around 10:30 a.m. Sunday. According to the report, an unknown offender took liquor past the point of last sale of the business.
