Champaign

An arrest on charges of trespassing and theft was reported near the intersection of John and Fourth streets around 7 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the 25-year-old male was caught and detained by employees of a demolition site for trespassing and attempting to steal scrap metal.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 1700 block of West University Avenue around 10 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victim’s car received an unsolicited coat of spray paint. There are no suspects at this time.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 2600 block of South Springfield Avenue around 2 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victim’s vehicle was damaged while parked at the Countrybrook apartment complex. There are no suspects at this time.

Urbana

Domestic battery was reported on the 300 block of West Elm Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, the victim and the offender are brothers and mutually pushed each other during a verbal argument.

Residential burglary was reported on the 600 block of West Green Street around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender entered the victim’s apartment and stole several items from his bedroom.

Credit card fraud was reported on the 1700 block of East Florida Avenue around 10 a.m. Wednesday. According to the report, an unknown offender used the victim’s debit card number to make a purchase without the victim’s knowledge or consent.
