UI professor arrested for unauthorized videotaping

By Jessica Bursztynsky, News Editor

College of Media professor Jay Rosenstein was arrested Monday night for “unauthorized videotaping.”

Rosenstein is to appear in the Champaign County Courthouse today at 1:30 p.m.

Rosenstein allegedly followed Ivan Dozier, president of “Honor the Chief Society” and former Chief Illiniwek portrayer, into the bathroom at Monday’s University basketball game.

Dozier told Campus Reform, a higher education news website, that Rosenstein, a longtime opponent of the use of the Chief’s likeness, tried to film him changing.
