Aggravated battery was reported at a Circle K at the 1100 block of North Prospect Avenue around midnight on Thursday. According to the report, the victim was at work when she claimed the suspect entered the store, battered her and then left. No arrests have been made.

Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, cannabis possession and illegal transportation of liquor were reported at the corner of Willis Avenue and Tremont Street around 11 p.m. on Saturday. According to the report, the vehicle was stopped for a traffic offense. Search of the vehicle yielded chances and an unlawfully possessed firearm. Two arrests were made.

Driving under the influence of alcohol, cannabis possession and illegal transportation of alcohol was reported at the 200 block of East Bradley Avenue around 3 a.m. on Friday. According to the report, the driver was found asleep in the driver’s seat of the vehicle parked in the roadway. The driver was then arrested.

Unlawful use of weapons and disorderly conduct were reported at the corner of Mattis and Springfield Avenues around noon on Friday. According to the report, a witness observed the suspect display a handgun. The suspect was located and arrested.

Damage to property was reported at Willard Airport, at the 1600 block of West Old Church Road, Savoy, on Friday or Saturday. According to the report, a Willard Airport employee reported that a chain-link fence around the airport was damaged.  It is believed a vehicle struck the fence and the driver left without reporting the damage. The estimated cost to repair the fence is $1,000.

Driving under the influence of alcohol as reported near Neil Street and Edgebrook Drive around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the report, the arrestee was stopped at a roadside safety checkpoint and arrested for DUI. A passenger was also arrested for failure to appear in court.

Trespassing on state-supported property and theft were reported at the Chemical and Life Sciences Laboratory, 601 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana, around 4 p.m. on Friday. According to the report, police were called by a University employee who recognized the arrestee, aware he previously had been issued a no trespassing notice for UI property. Police also identified the arrestee stole a set of building keys earlier in the week at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Goodwin Ave., Urbana.

Domestic battery and unlawful use of a weapon were reported at the corner of Vawter and Silver Streets around 2 p.m. on Monday. According to the reported, the offender and victim have two children in common. The offender offensively sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray. No arrests were made.

Resistance/obstruction to arrest and drug equipment poisonous were reported at the 100 block of West Park Street at Crystal Lake Park around 8 p.m. on Sunday. According to the report, two juvenile offenders were seen in the park by a witness carrying a handgun. When officers attempted to stop the offenders, the offenders fled. One of the offenders was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. After the arrest, the weapon was located and found to a BB gun. Both juveniles were also arrested for resistance/obstruction to arrest.
