Champaign

An arrest was made on the charge of possession of cannabis on the 500 block of West Kirby Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, a vehicle was parked at Hessel Park after closing. Further inspection revealed that cannabis was inside the vehicle and a city notice to appear in court was issued.

Violation of an order of protection was reported on the 2400 block of North Neil Street around 10 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the offender made contact with the mother of his children even though she has an active order of protection against him.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 300 block of South McKinley Avenue around 2 p.m. Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender damaged the victim’s vehicle. No other information about the incident was given.

University

An arrest was made on the charge of failure to appear in court near Daniel and Locust Streets around 12:30 a.m. on June 16. According to the report, the suspect was detained after a number of people ran from a large party in the area.

Theft was reported at the Agricultural Engineering Sciences Building, 1304 W. Pennsylvania Ave., between 1 and 4 p.m. on June 15. According to the report, the victim’s bicycle, which has an estimated value of $300, was reported stolen from a bike rack.

Urbana

An arrest was made on the 1100 block of Fairview Avenue around 3 p.m. Monday. According to the report, the arrestee had a valid warrant for his arrest due to parole violation and was transported to jail without incident.

Criminal damage to property was reported on the 400 block of West University Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender threw silverware on the ground of a business, damaging it to the point of being unusable.

Theft was reported on the 100 block of West Main Street around 1 p.m. Monday. According to the report, an unknown offender stole the victim’s bicycle.
